KBW's Comments
Violette Perfumee takes the bloom colour from his father Stephens' Big Purple and bloom shape from the mother, Dioressence. This is one of the most strongly fragrant roses I have ever come across. Only some of the old english roses will do better in terms of intensity of scent. The damask old rose scent with surely stay with you for a while. Large size deep purplish bloom (not really violet) with a nice shape. If one is looking for a very strong scent and beauty both in one rose, this could be one good choice.

KBW's Comments
Strong rose fragrance which is stronger during day and mild during night. Elegant baby pink colour fairly large size blooms that come in clusters of 3 to 5 flowers. McCartney is a nice rose to have and when in full bloom; puts up quite a show. Is a vigourous grower in most climates in Pakistan.

Which one? Violette Perfumee or The McCartney Rose. VP is a branded one from Germany and McCartney was found in a small insignificant nursery on Peshawar mor. I don't remember the name if it had one but it is in the same line close to Classic Nursery.

By the way, Violette Perfumee is so strongly fragrant that few people might not like the intensity and few might love it. One bloom in the vase fills the whole room with perfume. McCartney (like most roses) has strong fragrance during day but at night, has mild fragrance only.
