Tahir Sb: Thanks for the prompt response. You have a point. The weather in Karachi is pretty harsh but this particular plant has remained in partial shade for a fairly long time. When you talk of nitrogenless fertilizer, could you please let me know what it should be. I am aware of fertilisers with very low "N" number but totally nitrogenless is new for me. Would appreciate further guidance.Tahir Khan wrote:cacti and succulent burn from fresh growth either if the weather turns harsh too early in that case move the plant away from burning sun in a partial sun position, sun scald is very common on round barrel type cacti... the other reason can be that when the growing season starts in March nutrients have not been given to plants which result in poor and retarded growth feed all your plants with nitrogen less fert and water regularly in the evening. What else could be the reason ?
Talking of fertiliser what is your take on well rotted cow manure and also "Ojhri Ki Khad". The latter is pretty rich in nitrogen.
