Re: cherry blossom
Umar do you think peach blooms are better than tabebuia? If one wants and ornamental tree which would you suggest, peach, pink tabebuia or cassia nodosa? Any idea of which one blooms longer?

Re: cherry blossom
Is your grafted Cassia nadosa in bloom? When did you buy it? How do you know it is Nadosa and not Grandis or some other variety? I bought Two grafted ones last year, one did not survive the winter and the other is struggling to stay alive.I also have 4,four year old seed plants, from 5-15 feet high
I cant tell which is which nor can the vendor.

Re: cherry blossom
Tried cherry blossommany times , they dont survive our winter.Peach blossom do flower. One interesting tree that does survive our extreme weather is "REDBUD".I got two plants which are now 2.5 yr old.Another amazing tree which thrives here is POMPOM tree. Then there is empress tree with fragrant flowers. If you can get your hands on psoralea fleta then you are blessed.
Re: cherry blossom
Cherry survives the cold of Hunza so it should not be a problem in Lahore.Secondly some people are reportedly trying it in Islamabad. The problem is mainly that it's fruit it can not withstand the monsoon rains and in Islamabad the harvest is expected to be over before monsoon. So give it a try.Get the plants from Sawat , Gilgit, Quetta.
