Hello , wanted to know if cherry blossoms can be grown in Lahore if yes where to acquire the plant??

They are not for our climate. In most of the US where it snows for months the cherry blossoms are a site to behold come spring. Not many trees match their beauty. Don't even try try them, you'll be disappointed.

Cherry do not even blossom at Abbottabad which is cooler than our cities.so it means it requires too much chill to flowers.i think pear can flower in Lahore as it flowers here in Peshawar.but there is also slight difference in the weather.please ask Khabbab.he has planted peaches & pears.

Delonix regia
Cassia fistula
Cassia nodosa
Chorisia speciosa
Chorisia insignis
Butea monosperma
Jacaranda mimosifolia
Spathes campanulata
Bauhinia purpurin
Bauhinia varieagata
Bauhinia monandra
Tabebuia yellow
Tabebuia pink
Erythrina crista galli

I'm sure there are more but these are the most spectacular. Best red is delonix regia, best yellow is cassia fistula and best pink is cassia nodosa, best orange is butea monosperma best purple is jacaranda.

Peach blossom is the answer.

So can we really expect Peach trees to become full of blooms in Lahore? If so why don't we see people planting them? Peach blossoms look great on a google search.

Peach blossom trees were IN in fifties. They bore only flowers and no fruit and looked magnificient. Now they have vanished. I am looking for some.

What is their flowering period? Why would something so beautiful get unpopular? Must be a reason!

i think i saw some peach trees in green more nursery on raiwind road the next time i go will inquire about them btw how long does it takes a tabubia to flower from seeds?? a nursery men gave me some tabubia yellow seeds to try and they have all germinated.
