Adnan, The white Clematis you gave me drird up completely, I did not empty the pot but placed it in a corner. Last week of Feb. I found two healthy 4 feet canes had grown from the base. I think they will behave like Hardy Hibiscus.

Brig sb, you should prune it atleast two times before june.Prune it 4 inches from ground to make this more bushy.

clematis died down to the ground and grow back in spring. They do not like to be moved once planted. Plant them couple of inches deeper than their original level in the pot.they look best to climb up a rose bush.

If I have a garden , I will plant the rose and sungflower ,because these flowers are my favorite
