Re: Garden Log 2014-15
I have been searching for lilium tubers with little joy. Has a character. Daylily flower is beautiful but foliage is problematic as i observed.( Farhan)
Farhan,
Growing Liliums is much more problematic than Daylilies, just plant and forget, can you say so about lilium? Foliage of lilium is worthless where as foliage of ever green Daylilies which is also different for each variety, large clumps look good in landscaping like grasses.
I am expecting some seeds of Daylilies from Canada Would you be interested?
Arif

Re: Garden Log 2014-15
Foliage is not a problem if evergreen Daylily varieties are used which are suitable for warmer areas like Lahore or Islamabad. There are 3 types of daylilies namely evergreen, semi-evergreen and dormant varieties with the latter suitable for cold zones like Murree.by Farhan Ahmed » February 22nd, 2015, 8:05 pm

Thanks Sir Arif. When should they be sown?
Regarding Space. I believe management is proportional to urge.....What obstacles do you forsee?
Thanks Khurram Sb for clarification
@M Farooq. I believe it was mildly fragrant

Seedling grown Campanulas, Impressed with flower power and flower life.

Last year's Armeria Ballarina did not survive May Heat. Attempting again this year. Plants are again bolting at smaller size, however this time flower stalks are multiple. I have a feeling, Forum experiments are being followed by nurserymen. This year many new plants were available in nurseries including Armeria, and all i could say to them was....more chances are it won't survive.

Nemesia Tapestry from T & M. Flowers are small as compared to other cultivars but bi-color.

Gazania Daybreaks...dwarf habit.
