Dr sb the vine of this was available last year in Abbas Nursery and he was offering at a high cost of Rs 1300. He was also having the bush at quite lower rates.
Is this cost was justified?

We got it from Pattoki for Rs800. It is difficult slightly to propagate. I air-layered four branches in monsoon, one didn't take and two out of the other three did not make the winter. Also it took many weeks to show roots. This year I plan to layer end of June or maybe early July to give more time to root since last year I tried almost end of summer. If I succeed in air-layering I would be happy to give you one plant this Fall.

Izhar you will need a lot of time to go through Pattoki completely. Will be tough in the heat but worth it I'm sure. Just that in June usually nothing is happening since it's so hot. It's the monsoon when all the plants come out and the imports.

I will be in Lahore inshaAllah on 6th June and will be visiting Pattoki by early morning 7th June....

Dr. sb. many of these unique plants are super expensive in Karachi and all these come from Punjab (mainly Pattoki) so i am taking this as an opportunity to visit and look for the unique thing over there...

I thought it was the other way round. Most plants end up here from Karachi especially the imported ones. The Garden Center in Model Town also has some exotics off and on and the new management is based in Sindh. I guess for home propagated plants Pattoki is the place in Pakistan.

In Pattoki knowledge helps. Sometimes you'll find something quite amazing and it's almost like they're ready to give it to you for free because they don't even know what it is.

My pleasure. I'd give you the one successful layering I have but need to put that in the family graveyard.
