My sparaxis bulbs, after flowering are going dormant now.But there are tiny baby bulbs appearing on flowering stalks just above the ground level. Aren't baby bulbs supposed to be produced underground? In this summer heat, these baby bulbs will die. Any suggestions what to do?
I will post pictures tomorrow to show these baby bulbs.

Re: Baby bulbs on flowering stalks
This phenomenon occurs readily on walking onions, spider plants, agaves and daylilies. Best to leave them as long as possible so they could get the nourishment from the stalk before developing roots of their own.
Looking forward for your pictures.
