Re: Amaryllis
The white seems to be Arctic Nymph. There some red or pink hints, bloom is large in size plus has a short flowering stalk. Peacocks blooms are pure white, smaller in size plus tall flowering stalk.

Thank you Brig Sahib.
Indeed the first is H. Charisma and the 2nd/3rd image might be of H. Stardust.

I agree, The Picote is it a imported purchase or local, The red margin on all petals is not well defined.Kaleem wrote:H. Temptation in 2nd and 3rd photo

Re: Amaryllis
Brig Sahib,
This Picotee is a 7 year old imported variety purchased locally. You are right that the red outline is not well defined which normally should be prominent. Here's an old picture of the same bulb taken in 2012 in which the red outline is more prominent.

Thank you Kaleem sahib for the ID and it's indeed H.Temptation. Oddly i am 100% sure that i didn't buy any bulb bearing this name and neither this variety was among the Amaryllis imported by the shops. I guess it was mistakenly labelled as another variety and got mixed up. The surprising thing is that this variety was bought atleast 2 or 4 years before and strangely it never bloomed before. It's a great surprise and i really like it.by Kaleem » April 16th, 2014, 11:30 am
