About Salvia i don,t know as i have never planted this annual. The reason is simply i don,t like it. Even Cineraria can not beat Mimulus.Cineraria needs some sun & can not tolerate wet feet.Mimulus likes marshy location. After few weeks my Mimulus will be in blooms i,l post the pictures.Cineraria is a very beautiful annual.

I have grown Salvia in an area where it doesn't get a single ray of direct sun, it is one of the the longest blooming annual, starting from November and ending in late April:

Oenothera speciosa very vigorous and fast growing perennial with beautiful and large 2.5 inch flowers.only problem it can be invasive like oxalis so it is better to grow it in pots.

Simply Wow, Mimulus is amazing and doing so well :)

Unique snapdragon, white with red splash and white stripped stock.....you may have a new variety of stock in your garden, save its seeds and try next season to see ;)
