It seems i was mistaken as the fourth petal in the background seem to be from another scape. The layers of petal seem to be three not four.

Brig Sahib,
It is very unusual for an Amaryllis to have 4 sepals & petals as shown above.

Sir i have checked again and there are definitely 4 layers in 'Diva' making it a quadruple Amaryllis. In addition Kaleem Sahib has also confirmed 4 layers in his 'Diva' amaryllis. Below is an image clearly showing 4 layers in 'Diva'. This can be an interesting topic for discussion as to what triggers the formation of multiple layers (3 in some and 4 layers in other types of Amaryllises).
regards,

I do not get your point.
An Amaryllis flower has six petals in two layers and six stamens.
In a double flower due to mutation some or all stamens are converted in to petals, when all stamens are changed to petals you will get twelve petals in four layers of three petal in each.
Please count the petals on the double orange the second photo in my post some of my favourites, how many?

Now that does not fit in any pattern, 3 sepals + 3 petals + 6 Stamens + 3 Stigma = 15
Why bother just Enjoy

Sir, these will be shifted to 10 inch pots after flowering. Actually these amaryllises were already in these pots at the time of purchase.
