AOA, this month I was thinking to make an experiment of growing Arum "Arwie" in my KG. I want to ask from seniors that , can I use Arwie from market as its seeds and would this be a right time to sow it or I should wait for February. Thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions.
Regards
Arif

February end... you can use the only top growing tip as "seed" and eat the rest

Thank you so much Izhar Bhai... Inshallah I will act as per your advise. Should I try this indoor in a empty yogurt cups to make its seedlings, one seed per cup, and than transplant it out in a bed when time is right (Feb end)

Re: Growing Arum "Arwie"
You dont have to start them indoors... however initially they will require lots of water until the roots appear... they require 6-8 months to form the tubers... the soil must contain good amount of calcium, phosphorus and nitrogen... initially the plants will grow big leaves and will need more water.... by November they will slow down the growth and you will reduce the watering.. completely stop the watering for 20 days at least, before harvesting...
