Amaryllis bulbs

Can someone tell me what varieties of amaryllis bulbs are available in Lahore and what price are they? If variety is lacking or price is high I can bring them from the US. What size are the bulbs usually, I know bigger bulbs cost more.

Its better to purchase them in the U S.if u want to naturalise the singles are best.the doubles actually multiply very sowly.Amryllis are best whn in clumps giving natural look.here the price is round abut rs 500.the biggger the bulb the biggger blooms.one thing they are very practical in our climate.multiply rapidly,oliage is also nice,needs little care or even if ignored they will florish.this is the only bulb i love it.

Khan sahib the bulbs seem to be twice the price here in the US? Why is that? Most 30-34cm bulbs are anywhere from 12-15 US dollars! Do you know if all amaryllis varieties are available in Pakistan even the likes of papillio?

Sir ge you can get many varities from green works,but the problem is that they only supply bulbs in bulk on wholesale bases not on ret bases.all the bubs in Pakistan are impoted frm Holand.if any one is in Nitherlands,you can get many bulbs in reasonble rates,specially in the last phase of the planting season.i m telling you purchase abrod cause i dont trust our bulbs suplliers too much.last tie the Chanandin,Lahore provided me spider lily instead of Amryllis.in this sense the bulbs purchased in U S are not expensive.Amryllis are never expensive cause they are fit in our climate.all other bulbs to my limited knowledge only flower once or two.but Amryllis multiplies & multiplies.you can see the common red,how succefully established in our country.
