We all know this but no harm reminding ourselves.Sharing/reproducing what I have just read on another Site on internet:
"I'm talking about the "Golden Rule", and no, it's not just some cliche. ............................... You see, when you actively think about it, and practice it, it can and will change your life.
Now, we've all heard this age-old rule a million times: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you...or more simply put:
Treat others how you want to be treated.
Put other people first; yourself a distant second.
I like this one translation best:
Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, and then take the initiative and do it for them.
If we all thought about this simple rule before acting or speaking, think about how POWERFUL that would be. It would literally change the world. And while taking on the world may seem like an overwhelming task, there's one place we all can start that will have a dramatic impact on everyone we interact with: ourselves."
May Allah enable us.

Good point munir sahib, our own poet (Nazeer Akbar Abaadi) write a long poem a century ago... on the same theme. It was taught in schools but I guess it has been replaced by lesser quality work!
Duniya ajab bazaar hai, kuch jins yan ki sath lay,
Naiki ka badla naik hai, bad sey badi ki baat lay,
Mewa khila, mewa mile, phal phool day, phal path lay,
Aaraam day aaraam lay, Dukh dard day, aafaat lay
And he does mention the flowers :-)
