Re: Rain has arrived
Previous year in hotter months i use to pray for rains, why? because it would cool the weather and my garden would get the water, saving me the trouble of watering. Then i realized how small was my thinking. That rain would save me the trouble of watering but can cause havoc in poor peoples home, can lead to floods, devastate crops and other countless atrocities. Upon realization i now think we should leave the scheme of weather to Allah's will indeed.....For he is wise and all knowing.M Farooq wrote:That is sad. I only remember one such incident in the mid 80s. I think that was the worst "aandhi" in Karachi...Huge and old trees, of Bakayan, Drumstick in our house were knocked down by the winds! But you are a meteorological expert...may be you have seen more disasters in other parts of Pk.farhan137 wrote:Many other trees up rooted as well

So is rain actually harmful for us in some ways? No.
Its actually our fault. Poorly constructed homes. Faulty electric systems, poor planning is what cause harm. If i was to sit in an open ground with no material assets at stake...theoretically no amount of rainfall can harm me directly.
Allah has made us fragile by making us dependent on material things......This is part of the scheme of the great test. The day one liberates himself from the materialistic world........he becomes saints

I saw Kabul river today from the road joining Nowshera to Risalpur. Water has already entered houses located on the bank of river....And monsoon is yet to come. Allah save our poor souls.
