There are groups of Bauhinia trees in Garrison golf club Lahore, they bloom in November, the fragrance is heavenly and fills the air all around.M Farooq wrote:That was March. Bauhinia is not at all fragrant; they might have very mild fragrance if smelled with a deep breath.Muhammad Arif Khan wrote:First picture, What is the bloom time of this bauhinia, is it very fragrant?

I dont think it is Yulang-Yulang.
The "dwarf" ylang-ylang is not a true ylang-ylang from which oils are distilled (which I have been searching for a while). The genus is the same though, it is Cananga sp. Have you seen true ylang-ylang in Pk? I am curious to know about its availability.
I am also looking for orange variant of Michelia "alba".
I grew a Ylang Ylang tree, it did not come up to my expectations so it had to go. Now I have acquired a vine from Pattoki, it is growing well, I hope it will earn its position.
