First of all wait!.........Be patient, continue to water daily.
What was the planting depth of seeds?? Seed should be covered lightly with soil...not buried. Rough calculation for depth is seed size itself. If they fail. Put them in water before sowing for a day and then sow in pots.

u r right.i m not patient in gardening.i monitor them many times in a day.my maali sowed them.he said weather is not too hot that's why it is late.depth was not so much.next time i will soak them in water.is this rule applicable for any kind of seeds?

Soak the seed if it is sizeable and tough. Veggie seeds you mentioned will benefit from soaking. Sunlight is not an issue. They will take atleast one week to germinate

Nice info share Asim sb, this will help the novice gardeners a lot :)

Miss Farah, the reason for seeds failing to germinate can be numerous, wrong depth of sowing, heavy sowing medium, dispersion of seeds from splash watering, sunlight etc...

The best method to germinate seeds is to soak larger seeds like tomato, tori, squash, eggplant in water overnight, then place the seeds over good quality of soil, sprinkle with half an inch layer of coco coir if available (easily available from seed shops) if not leaf mold (patton ki khad) will do.

use a spray bottle to water the newly planted seeds to avoid seeds getting dislocated with splash watering, after that cover the top of the pots with plastic sheets or place the whole container (if small) in a shopping bag and tie the knot from above to evenly seal it, this will create the ideal environment for seed germination and you will see 100% results if the seeds are of good quality too. :)

I contacted agriculture help line.they asked me that from where i got these seeds. I told from pansaari shop.they then said this may b the reason as pansaari keeps old seeds for medication not for growing. Now i will purchase from seed store.but bhindi seeds are responding.they too were bought from the same pansaari.i tried 2 times for bitterguord but no result.
