Common Name: Midnight Blue

Description:
Purple, lighter reverse. Strong, clove, spice fragrance. 17 to 25 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Small to medium, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Short, bushy, compact, thornless (or almost). Medium, semi-glossy, light green foliage.
Height of 2' to 32" (60 to 80 cm).
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that

NIGERETTE, hybrid tea,spiral buds,20-25 petals,non fragrant, hight 2-3 ft,color depends on weather.in colder temps the color will be the darkest velvet red,in hot weather color will be normal red.It was bred by Max Krauser,Germany in 1934.Introduced in USA in the same year by Star roses under the name Nigereete.Its true name was The Black Rose of Sangerhausen.many roses carry more than one or two names.

Umar bhai, you are right about Nigrette but I quoted the data for Negrette. As per HelpMeFind, these are two different roses. But we need more clarity on this. aykhan sb has named this rose as Nagrette but I agree with you that the pic resembles more with Black Prince and not with Nigrette. Unluckily, there is no picture of Negrette available on the net.

I agree on Nagrette. I have two plants both sold as Nagrette but with different flowers. Maybe the one I'm quoting as Nagrette is actually the Prince.

Also the second picture in Paul Gaugin is actually Scentimental. Sorry for the confusions.

Update......google NIGRETTE and you'll find the rose (not nagrette) Mine is likely Black Prince.

Description:
Dark red. Flowers blackish maroon or plum, varying with season and weather. Moderate fragrance. Medium, double (17-25 petals), open bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Ovoid buds.
Bushy, dense.
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Requires good cultivation if it is to perform its best
