These are very dependable plants.. in my experience they need lots of water for better foliage and blooms..

Strange, it is just the opposit of what a friend who has many tells me.

Euphorbia drought tolerant prefer dry conditions generally. The Dianthus variety planted in pots shown above i reckon in the Diamond variety. If planted in a soil bed, around 60 or 70 percent of Dianthus Diamond variety can survive.

Sir, i had always thought them as plants which like to remain a bit dry... i have hundreds of them planted in ground and pots... i observed that the plants which were in the area that received daily watering and never dried completely were far better in blooms and foliage, i started watering my eubhorbias in pots on daily basis sometimes twice daily to keep them moist, the result was much better plants... no fertilizer added.. having said that we know that the soil type is different in Lahore so you can experiment with few pots initially..

hmmmm interesting observation. i Think what Izhar is pointing out is that regular watering will result in "very" healthy plants.
I have observed this plant to withstand extreme abuse. Dust, drought, neglect everything.But again with good care results can be better.
