@ Izhar. Talking of pollination. We are not part of nature . Otherwise likes of you and me would have been entrusted with zillions of flowers to be pollinated, which we would have failed badly as humanity, and at most few flowers would make seeds. Imagine me and you running around bent over the flowers doing the job. In fact we are not meant for this. Had we been in the scheme of nature, then either our nose or mouth would have been needle like or the flowers would have been the size of elephants ‎ ‎

I wonder no body pointed out that insects mostly see in black & White
Their black and white is different though...its graduation from dark to light, enabling them to identify all shades/colors

Karachi flower show is underway........Spring has arrived in Center as well, but we here in North are anxiously awaiting spring. Late spring also means longer growing season, a huge benefit. I am fast approaching my "Floral Flush".......landscaping has proven to be difficult. Planning the garden in respect of size & color, caring for vast area, fending off against weather etc has been tough. One consideration for landscape garden is simultaneous bloom of all the plants. Craving to experience all available annuals, i have a task at hand to make them bloom altogether. Judgement day 18th April.

I wonder why sweetpeas are becoming a rarity. For my money, it has taken a permanent spot in my cool season selection of plants. Spaced provided. I must admit my sense of smell is quite weak, and if something makes itself apparent through my noise, it really must be fragrant. The Sweet Peas, preparing for a show.


In another thread regarding discussion of petunias in pot. Look at these two petunia plants in a 14 in Pot, crying out for more space....


Its very unusual for my place for Petunia to be flowering(not talking of a single bloom)......i have made headway
