Re: Blooms
Just love the delphiniums. I must try them next year. Did you get paniri or from seeds?
I had to ranunculus this year since I was hoping bulbs from last year would sprout but they all failed.

Re: Blooms
Yes farhan the first one is tulip one of the most diffcult bulb I tried this year.
Umar sb I have about 50 plants from seeds and almost 20 colors I think they truly are unique this is the first time I have tried them from paniri.
Aykhan sir I have about 20 bulbs in the pots and about 20 in the ground only 4 from lasr year sprouted the rest just decayed even with no water for the first month.
Delpheniums are from paniri DAP and npk always do the trick for me.plus the medium. The delpheniums are in the ground some flowering beyond expectations and some just.flowering like the blue.one in the pic.

Re: Blooms
The Bloomingdale will develop tubers.when the plants turn brown, store the tubers for next season.the flower size will increase plus you will get more flowers per plant.
Farhan Diphinium seedlings are not prepared in plains.the nurserymen use to sow the seeds in Muree & bring seedlings to plains for sale.i think they prepare it early & the temp may be the logic.i have never tried Delphiniums but i think cold temp may be the logic behind.

Umar sb it difficult to save tubers for rananculus in lahore 4 out of 16 sprouted from.last year not worth the effort.

Re: Blooms
@ Umar Bhai......Larkspur in Mardan/Risalpur
.....hit hai, will share blooms soon...LOL
@Ahmedirfan....i don't think it has do anything with plains or mountains. It simple temperature and growing period graph. Generally speaking our hilly areas have lower temperatures in Sep/Oct which allows Delphiniums to be sown early. Similarly rise in temperature is as late as May, thereby allowing more than 7-8 months for them to grow and bloom which is not possible in our warmer areas. I am expecting that as we will hit considerable high temperatures in April in Risalpur, Delphiniums will not grow fully and bolt sooner. What i am looking at is 1 1/2 to 2 feet size.
