variegation in nasturtium is due to any deficiency or disease or is it natural because in young age they look similar and when they grow few become variegated?

Aoa Farhan.its very sad that you are going to leave your garden.but one thing i tell you you are lucky also.you are serving in PAF.so its the part of armed forces.i say you are lucky that you will see many stations with different climates.so you will get thrilling experience.like if you are posted to Kalabagh,N.gali you can experience those which we cant.i think you got my point.you can enjoy so many things in different places.Allah has given very diverse climate to our sweet land.once you are retired you can develope your own garden Inshallah.my father was in Army & i really enjoyed a lot.Fuchsia,T.begonia,African violets,Decorative Dahlia,Ixora,Karoton which i can not enjoy now.hope you have a nice stay at Risalpur as its near to my native Mardan.

Such an amazing garden and so much variety. Farhan saheb God bless you for your efforts and for posting such beautiful pictures for us. It must have given everyone ideas for their own lawn. The love is so obvious and the effort clear when we see your garden pictures. Now that you are moving there's a nother challenge and I'm certain when you relocate the sadness of leaving this lawn will disappear as you see the new stretch of land just waiting to be exploited to the fullest. We look forward to your next garden and how you build it from scratch. Best of luck with the move and I'm sure a VERY happy camper will be taking over your garden and you'll get some extra prayers for it :)

Mundane Flower Pot Marigold
Sometimes commonness becomes a vice. Such is the case with Calendula Officinalis( Pot Marigold). Though common, nobody seems to value it and it will get a place back of border/away from lime light. With sands of time it has become mundane, devalued and not sort after, One reason i think of is, limited color availability locally. One can find yellows or oranges, not much variation to speak of.

Calendula is the marigold of Cool season(in terms of hardiness also). So easy from seed, earliest to bloom, cold hardy, longest blooming and absolutely trouble free may it be soil, climate or pest. This edible herb with so many medicinal uses is a prolific bloomer in shades of yellow and orange. Keep deadheading and blooms will never seem to end until you will discard it yourself for somewhat untidiness because of deadheading and hot weather. I bet it can match and outshine any cool summer annual.

Though i have only early blooms up till now but i will try to remove this mundane Tag from this lovely plant. These are nana fruit twist and touch of Red. You would be the judge. And i am ready for a debate :-) Calendula vs Any other cool season annual :D

If i am able to collect seeds, i would glad to share with all interested members.

Beautiful. I am not a big fan of marigolds so this one I really like. Some things become common and thus are neglected due to this sin of commonness. Hiwever beauty remains constant so there is a rebound with time. I think amaltas suffers similarly. It is very common on the streets so most people don't plant in homes, however, it will make a comeback since I am not aware of any other tree which is studded with profuse yellow blooms in the heat of Lahores June.
