Any success for Stevia anyone? I am also from Lahore, and I need this plant !

From your discussion it appears that its germination is a big issue. What are the substitutes for that?

From where did you guys get the seedlings?

Do reply ! Besides, its been a year, time to get updates ! ;) :)

I have one plant in my lawn. I planted it in ist week Sep; then it was about 6- 8 inches & now it should be around 12".It put on some flowers in oct, white colour, star shaped & about 1/2 cm in size.It is basically a bush. Like many other plants, especially fruit trees, I got it from a village nursery (astonished?),located in the PM Area( Gujar Khan)_ reasons sometime later. Cost me Rs. 350 .

I dont know the actual credentials of the plant, but I can confirm it tastes real sweet.More can be found from the Nursery Owner; Also the stock available with him.

Dear All,
I am an agriculturist from Sindh, Pakistan, having keen observation on Stevia Plant.
I am interested in growing this plant commercially, but unfortunately I haven't as yet come across any sources to procure the seed.
I see here that alot of you have been growing this in their gardens, can you kindly confirm if anyone has a substantial souring of seedlings?
I have been using stevia in replacement of Sugar since almost a year now, and honestly at it says it surely is 300 times more sweeter than sugar.
We need this for Pakistan, it can be a breakthrough, i look forward for positive replies.
Thank you
