Hi Every One,
I am Nawaf Mahmood from Lahore. I am into gardening for like 4 years now. I like to grow flowers, vegis, fruits and all. I am a big fan of Indian Dahlia flower.
Just to give an overview of my experience with gardening:
I have done successful experiments by planting green long chillies (they turn to red..trust me red chillies are not separate type :p), tomatoes, eggplants(baingun), lady finger, garlic, and other salad items....in fruits I got black grapes, bananas (which dont grow bigger in size and start losing most of the smaller buds as the time passes), musami and kinoo...LEMON being the most consistent plant in my lawn and produces an excellent quantity of lemons every year.
as far as flowers are concerned, this season is THE BEST...I have experimented with many different types of seasonal flowers esp. of winters but currently I got Indian dahlia, simple dahlia (which I seeded myself and infact made the seed myself too)..marygold, jaafri and ptunia are the other varieties I am having.
unfortunately, I have changed my gardener and he is not much fond of how to grow Indian Dahlia...my plants are now about 1 foot tall and I did cut the stems's top with my nails now but I feel that its plant is not much healthier...I am using DAP and NPK as fertilizer for Indian dahlia...any suggestions that what should I do to ensure their big sized flowers?
2ndly, I plan to plant renunculas and digitaulus...anyone knows that from where in Lahore I can find there smaller plants (paneeri)

Re: Nawaf from Lahore
Welcome to the forum. Good to see another gardener from lahore.
Digitalis is not available right now in lahore, i tried almost all nurseries. May be in January it might be available at lahore nursery or any other nursery at kalma chowk. Ranunculus seedlings should be available from any good nurseries they are common.
