Yes they are cane palms but in very poor position.first of all poor lights level.energy savers are not the right light source for any plants.there are special light tubes for indoor plants.but its better to keep them in a room which recives some sun light.its better to place them near to a window.potted plants must be placed in slightly bigger pots each year.it has been discussed by Brig Arif in the same sec in another thread.feed your plants with Liquid NPK plus trace elements on forth nightly bases.only water when needed.

I recently bought a cat palm that is now bearing small knob like black fruits on orange stems. I read somewhere online that these orange shoots take away the plant's nutrients and should be pruned off. Is that correct?
