Rafique's Comments:
Velvet Fragrance proved good heat resistant. Remained in soil bed at location which received full sun in May-Jul till 4 pm. Repeatedly blooming. Flower size and fragrance reduced in summer. Now again gaining its color and fragrance. Image taken on 14-Oct-13. Good to have it. Lightly pruned in first week of Oct which resulted multiple buds.

KBW's Comments: Though the season is almost over in Canada but you can see the size of bloom. It's still extra large, around 5". This is the difference that conducive weather can make to a rose. Please also note the shade which in the cool climate of Canada is dark maroon while in Lahore and Mardan, it is bright scarlet.
