this is a really great topic for newcomers like me.. thanks alot for putting in this effort.. i sowed portulaca, zinnia, sunflower 4 days ago and vinca today i followed the instructions for zinnia and sunflower on the back side of the seed packet but there was none on the portulaca ones.. so sowed a few and if they germinate will sow the rest of them too.. i noticed little seedlings in my one of the 2 zinia pots.. and i was thinking if they were weeds or real seedlings.. and ur pic was really helpful..my seedlings do look like yours.. well i hope rest of my seeds germinate as well.. i was worried as to how much water i should give them.. please do tell me how much water should be used in the beginning,. someone wrote to use spray bottle..is that much enough really. because it's too hot in karachi and my much feels dry from above sometime after the watering.. thanx anyway.. i sow zinnia & sunflower directly where they have to flower.these annuals do not like root disturbance.Asim its a very good effort you have made brother.

It's really good your can grow summer seeds like Zinnia's, Protuclaca, Sunflower, Vinca and other seeds at home.
As far as Umarkhanmardan effort it goods you can grow Sunflower and Zinnia seeds at particular place. Like Tall plant of Sunflower its better not to transplant it. Hope so within a week your seeds will germinate.
As far Mahira effort growing seeds like Zinnia, portulaca, vinca in pots espeically hot weather of Karachi requried more care espcially first 2 weeks until seed germinates. You can spray water with spray bottle three times a day. Place pots under shade have only morning sunlight for max of 2 hours, time 7 AM to 9 AM. Never dry your soil. Misting your soil with water spray bottle. If you send me picture of your seeds after 7 to 10 days I can judge its become true seedlings.

Today I will continue this subject and send some fresh picture of diferent flowering as well as vegetable plant.
