Water Lillies

Due to Dengue epidemic, water lillies are acquired rarely. Even Nurseries have excluded this item from their import list. The danger of Dengue is genuine.The breeding of dengue mosquitoes can be eliminated by either breeding fishes, installation water pumps to ensure that water is not stagnant or mixing Cinnamon Oil "Daar Cheeni ka teel" in water frequently. Cinnamon oil deters mosquitoes but has to be applied often to make it more effective. A small bottle is commonly available in Chemist shops for Rs 150. The usage of this oil does not pose any threat to bio-diversity.
The installation of a pump is a more effective remedy but rising costs of electricity makes it a cost prohibitive solution.
