Local indigenous Ixora Shrub if trained can reach a height of 25 feet within 10 years. Currently i have three of these white Ixora shrub which bloom 3-4 times during the year and are very fragrant and acts a magnet drawing butterflies and honey bees. Every year atleast 40-50 plants are formed by self seeding. Interested members interested to get this sampling of this shrub can get in touch with me.

Another shrub to attract butterfly/bees is Sweet Almond Verbena mistakenly called Buddlea Bush by Nurseries. The fragrance of this shrub bears scent of honey. Ixora's imported from Thailand bearing no fragrance can also draw butterflies along with Echinacea which can be grown easily from seeds. There are countless other shrubs like Chaste Tree and another type of Buddlea/Chives/ Perennial Asters etc on whom i shall dwell upon later.

Ixora Coccinea is commonly available in nurseries in Red, Pink and Orange. To attain a height as shown in the pictures they require at least 5-6 years as growth rate is slow. All these blooms are without any application of fertilizer. These varieties are hardy and grow well in full sun. Only Ixora Odorata being less hardier requires protection during the winters.

It's available at Lahore Nursery where it's mistakenly referred as blue 'Buddlei Bush'.

An unknown Buddlei Bush variety. A task for Hammad Kisana perhaps?

Chives

And finally images of mint from Saudi Arabia having strong fragrance. Not sure about the exact name of this mint variety and it might be Peppermint or Spearmint.
