@khabbab....it was way difficult to capture it due to its speed, just got it by luck.

Last of winter here, and we are entering into early spring with early blooms. But yet again there is a twist in the tale. I just pray to Allah that i am let to see the blooms of the spring before i depart my beloved garden for good for my next posting. A gardening effort of about one year which would be enjoyed by someone else and all i would take with me would be the glimpses & memories. It reminds me of death, human mortality, when you are so close to the final outcome(or when there are lot of things to be done)
Lucky is the person who will get your garden - provided he appreciates nature. Beautiful pictures. This time Karachi's soil will benefit from your green thumb. Plants tend to love the person who looks after them as well. I feel that they don't do as well once their original owner leaves them...perhaps it is my pleasant delusion.

Izhar wrote:Farhan, i can feel the situation as i am also relocating and will be abandoning my garden by next month... in my newly constructed house i have to start everything from scratch and the garden may be limited only to my house premises, 1/10th of the space i have now.. you have done so well in very short time and all of your efforts are very appreciable and inspiring for us..
IZhar, i too am relocating to a small house(actually smaller) and will have to discard a lot of plants. Fortunately all my plants are in pots so easier to manage than those in soil bed.

Very well done Farhan. It is a wonderful display.

@Tahir ...that's the problem i am leaving when they have started to pay back.........I could be relocated to any fighter base of PAF, probably Mianwali, Karachi or Kamra.
@ Farooq Sb ......yes i am certain they would die in a short while and in my opinion your delusion is a reality in most cases :-)

Its drizzling.............
Sorry if i sound sentimental, gardening is NOTHING without emotions, in fact gardeners are most impassioned people for nature, for a gardener plants are like children which are bred with utmost affection and care, longing for each day that i can spend here in my little heaven ....:-)

Below are few glimpses of what i am leaving behind.....every inch of garden prepared with my own hand, every possible annual ready to flower

@Morina.....No i don't garden for anyone :o ........A little more than an hour daily depending upon schedule. however most of my leisure time on weekends was in garden. Why i am leaving....because i had become oblivious of the reality, this day had to come....

"An aviators business is with the wind, and with the stars, with night, with sand, with the sea. He strives to outwit the forces of nature. He stares with expectancy for the coming of the dawn the way a gardener awaits the coming of spring. He looks forward to port as a promised land, and truth for him is what lives in the stars".
— Antoine de Saint Exupéry, Wind, Sand, and Stars, 1939.

dear farhan you are making us emotional and sentimental....we are feeling your emotions ..i am sad it is a great job you have done no one can believe that you have done this in one year only.but i think you are a fighter so it is not a difficult task for you.i am feeling sad after watching these healthy and beautiful annuals which will be left alone and negleted after you.but hope is there and my good wishes are with you.
