There are hardly any exceptions in the region-- " har taraf hae aag ( here barish) brabar laggi who-e". Let us turn it into an opportunity to re-furbish our gardens. May we all do it well & soon !Rafaiy wrote:Feeling sorry for everyone's loss, same is the situation at my side but all i can say is that we all have to submit to mother natures desire...Hopefully rain and wind will ease down now...fingers crossed

Laborious 3 days and the Garden is, as it Was. Another system expected after 10 days. Though comparatively weaker. Fingers Crossed.

This hummingbird moth is a regular visitor of my garden. Whats special about this swift flyer is that it has an amazing memory and visits the same flowers at the same time of the day, each day to say hello

Re: Garden Update 2013
Thanks all
@khabbab....it was way difficult to capture it due to its speed, just got it by luck.
Last of winter here, and we are entering into early spring with early blooms. But yet again there is a twist in the tale. I just pray to Allah that i am let to see the blooms of the spring before i depart my beloved garden for good for my next posting. A gardening effort of about one year which would be enjoyed by someone else and all i would take with me would be the glimpses & memories. It reminds me of death, human mortality, when you are so close to the final outcome(or when there are lot of things to be done), yet you have to move and leave so much behind.
Insipid.................hoping for a floriferous farewell by my plants.
I wonder if a cool season garden can be complete without sweetpeas, ready to burst open. Colorful and fragrant.

Annual Dahlia's first.......

First blooms of Mesembryanthemums

Crown pansy from last years seeds

Bellis perrenis (English weed)

Re: Garden Update 2013
Farhan, i can feel the situation as i am also relocating and will be abandoning my garden by next month... in my newly constructed house i have to start everything from scratch and the garden may be limited only to my house premises, 1/10th of the space i have now.. you have done so well in very short time and all of your efforts are very appreciable and inspiring for us..
