@farhan137
Sir it is always a pleasure to watch your garden pics. Thanks a lot for sharing the pics.

rafigque sahib I agree such a situation does limits one's options with regard to gardening. But IMHO, it is the creativity, ability to understand what is achievable and what is not achievable within given resources (including detailed knowledge of plants / gardening) and above all, love & respect for the plants that are to be grown which determines the level of excellence and satisfactions that one can achieve in this hobby.
rafique wrote:Some one has energies at young age to do all gardening jobs either laborious or technical by himself. What about the young man who want to do gardening , love for plantation , erg to do better gardening but don’t have energy to do laborious job because of divine restrictions? Or an aged person who always have been doing the all?
If some want to continue gardening then strategies have to be adopted according to the circumstances. There is always ups and downs in gardening too as in life . No one can run with same pace for life. Life is a matter of moments.
In my view Sir, one should do what is within his resources to achieve and should not feel bad about what can not be achieved due to physical / financial / any other reason. For a hobbyist however, this is a tall order and quite difficult to achieve.

farhan137 wrote:You are right in every perspective. I am not comparing landscaping with any other way of garden, gardening has to be and can be undertaken in 'n' numbers of ways with similar joy. However i do have developed this perspective that time, effort and space provided, it can be most rewarding because its the way of nature. However i have few submission which are important if read between the lines

The full essence of the gardening journey can be understood with landscaping.
I absolutely agree. IMHO, money / big lawns or area etc have not much to do with the landscaping or even gardening satisfaction that one can achieve. It is all about creativity and sense of achievement by doing something while staying within resources / limitations. One can do a lot in limited spaces also provided he keeps his plant wish list under control; growning what can be grown in limited space & existing light / temp / humidity conditions and NOT what he would have liked to grow. With some research, one would be able to find many things which are good to grow even in worst of environments. Rest is all about creativity in arranging them in a fashion that it looks presentable.

regards

@KBW....Thankyou Sir for giving time and reading the discussion and sharing your point of view. Obliged.
Regarding garden best is yet to come, provided rains stop wrecking havoc  ......There is still time for true spring here.

@Rafique Sb.....i intended something else when i requested you to share your way of gardening. I have a feeling that it will be an inspiring saga which would touch hearts, deep very deep inside......and your every word is valued in this thread.

Frankly speaking i am starting to think that i am unfit for gardening...i fret and sweat a lot
Farhan i m really shocked with this statement.gardening needs live & devotion which you are giving to it.now let me tell you so many are gardening for so many years but they don,t know the ABC,s of it.what i want to tell you its not a matter of time how long you are in gardening.its not matter of lot of space or limited space.its just what your love for plants.your are an excellent gardener & right man for the right place.A good gardener is who makes a the place beautiful in his available budget. All gardeners live in beautiful places & enjoy cup of tea because its their hard work & passion for gardening.

@Umar Bhai...thankyou for elaborating. If i can have this feeling, those who are starting with gardening or suffering failures will have this feeling for sure. Our job is to let them know that we do have these feelings sometimes but these are momentary. Night's sleep, a new day, a new bloom and encouragement from fellow gardeners will WIPE THE SLATE CLEAN.

Khan saheb so true. It's about the process which includes failures and success. Had I been able to grow Cerinthe on my first attempt from seed and Puyas then I might not have learnt anything. Now I can relate to the feeling of wonderful expectation to see if I succeed. With success comes care and love and affection. These in turn build a better personailty which is more balanced and tender, some thing a rare quality in todays day and age.

Enjoy everyone Spring is still here and later we will all be putting out fires and doing damage control before another challenging season starts in the monsoon..... :D

Dear KBW and Umar thank you for elaborating the things. Both of you are quite right and i am also trying to covey the same that gardening is not matter of resources and limitations rather a gardener would find some ways instead of leaving it.

words of Farhan shocked me that he is tired and feeling unfit ..................i was afraid that he should not leave this hobby. I just gave suggestion to have some rest and do again with all energies. My intend was not to restrict him. i was trying to convince him to remain in.
other wise every one should do maximum possible.

May be selection of my words is wrong that every one is getting the impression which i really did not mean.

Rafique saheb I have not been following this thread for a while and just read the last page or two so hopefully nothing in my post indicts anyone since I only responded to Umars sahebs post. I am sure whatever discussion is going on here is positive since the best among us are here. I do think any hobby should not be taken to an extreme so that it affects ones pleasure but I doubt that is the case with Farhan saheb :)

Yes Khan sb you are very right gardening is a great fun full of challenges.its a process of errors & success.so many times even an expert fails to grow some thing but it does not mean we should leave the job.let me tell i also love pets.i lost so many pets.its very painful when you lose a pet.what is common is that plants & pets are living things so some times its not in our control to save them.Sorry this is not a pets forum but i want to make clear the point. To me my plants are also like my pets.I love my dogs, birds & plants because they are my friends.i can not live without them.
