Any suggestions?? Advice on some plants that would fit the scenario

Hard and difficult job that you have completed in Excellent way. Love this idea but this kind of plastic sheet is not good for such project because its not made of long lasting material.
Now you should have to buy few waterlilies in pink and blue colors. Elephant ear with big leaves will be suitable on the back side of the starting point.

What about water hyacinths? I would love water lilies but they are not visible when they are not in bloom. Water hyacinths would b e visible from far away- they propagate like crazy.

Last but not the least...standing water is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, unless you leaves frogs and tadpoles there :-) We had a small water lily pond and had to be eventually filled.

I was also thinking of the project but couldnt find the cure for stagnant water.Some ferns should be added near the path way.

I have seen a pic in a gardening book that a large plastic tub was used for this purpose.

Thank you everyone for the suggestions i have added water hyacinths since water lilies are hard to manage, plus i have added spara grass, ribbon grass, daylily, cholorophydums, american palm and i am waiting for elephant ears as per Kaleems sbs suggestion.
Kaleems sb this was the highest gauge plastic sheet i could find and in a conversation with the vendor he said as long the water stays there it should not be a problem lets see if he was just trying to make a sale.
Farooq sb already have alot of frogs in my home because of the moisture i am sure they will find there way to the pond
Now i am looking for some props and inhabitants for the pond.
