Yesterday I visited Wahid Malaks Amaryllis Garden on roof of his three story house. What a pleasure it was, some pictures of his collection/creations in bloom are shown below;

























They are all large flower size, in 14 inch pots, he uses simple Bhal as medium and seldom fertilises them, the pots are under green shade and are kept moist, no water withholding or cutting of leaves, no changing of media unless they get over crowded.
What more can you ask for.

Malik Waheed Sahib is a gem of a person and one of the nicest & most knowledgeable person i have ever met. Indeed he has a fantastic collection not merely of Amaryllis but all kinds of plants. In particular some of his succulents and palms are extremely rare possibly one of the very few in the world. The 9th picture from the top posted by Brig Sahib isn't H. Papilio but in fact a beautiful cross of H. Papilio.

This is a Hadeco Amaryllis whose name i can't recall.

Beautiful. I saw his rooftop amaryllis garden when it wasn't in bloom. This is amazing.
