I have not purchased any new bulbs this year these are my old bulbs I am experimenting with, they are in various stage of growth. This particular batch has plants having one to fifteen buds. Will keep posting.

keep us in the loop and do share your outcome/results as this will also help us to understand Lilium in our climate, this bud is looking quite promising and healthy, and at the right time of the year.

Arif Sahib,
The refrigeration procedure which you have adopted for Lilliums can also be used for Easter lilies as well. Chilling from May-September ensures that these lilliums which are on bud now will give a display at-least for a month.
If Lilliums are not chilled then they tend to bloom around middle of April and the bloom duration is cut short by rising temperatures. In addition if left on the ground bulbs like Easter Lillies tend to rot during the monsoon season.

Absolutely correct, the ones that bloomed in their natural cycle had short lived modest blooms.
