Allamanda is so beautiful everyone wants to try it but my vine died last winter also. I am trying again this year with two vines, one pink vining shrub and one yellow bush. Let's see! I plan on covering them with plastic during the worst of winter, which is usually mild in Lahore.

Plant it in an area where it gets early sun shine in winters, i hav a yellow flowering allamanda vine , it gets sunshine almost for the whole day. Its 3 years old vine n still going well, Peshawar winter is much harsher then that of Lahore.

Brig saheb you have all the varieties I think. The orange and double yellow are rare. Are they vines or shrub and from where can I acquire the orange?

Where is the orange allamanda? The pink allamanda above seems to be rubber vine. Do not buy before March, you will probably loose the plant.

The pink one does look like rubber vine, when I bought it, it was almost red, may be soil/climate change.
These are ramblers putting up long canes and are happy pushing through other vines, also do well when supported.
The double is more winter hardy but has smaller flower.
They are easy to grow from tip cuttings.
