Sir, cordon growing means to restrict the plant to a single stem or as it is called 'leader'Tahir, how are tomatoes grown as cordon? Please elucidate.
The side shoots of a plant are taken off to help the leader (the single growing stem or point) grow with more vigor and produce large bloom, or a bunch of blooms regarding tomatoes.
Many plants including sweet peas are grown as cordons by specialists to get bigger sized blooms.
Tomatoes regularly produce side shoots, take these off and restrict the plant to a single growing point or stem to get bigger trusses and fruits..

Re: Spring at Gulzar-e-Hijri 2014
My Brunfelsia Americana or Lady of The Night seems to do better in the pot. You can see from pictures in my last years post. The plant in ground is bigger. I think a little research on it's requirements might help me make it bloom more in ground. So far it is mostly a partially neglected spot in my garden. After the effort put in caring for roses and hibiscus most plants get neglected....

Beautiful bloom. These roses with me also are performing very well with your beneficial tips and idea about the mix of the medium. Some of the roses are producing 4 to 5 buds at one time. Izhar bhai please update the current situation of your newly bought roses...
