Summer 2013 story....
I've been posting blooms regularly throughout the summer on the forums facebook page since it's so quick to do especially when busy. I am now going to try and resize the pics and post them here. Will try to add pics from summer start to end but likely in no particular order. Just want to share here on the forum too. I again highly recommend for members to also join the forums facebook page right here:

Here's my tree Laegerstroemia indica "Red Rocket". This apparently is a full size tree which can grow to 20-30 feet I think. I have a medium and a dwarf tree version also of the red form. Very unique for now in Pakistan and I really don't know why. It is quite striking but the dark purple remains my favorite Laegerstroemia.

Some really huge gardenias.Taitensis "Heaven's Scent" is a cultivar of taitensis which has a double flower. Aimee Yoshioka is supposed to be the biggest gardenia but I think it's equal or maybe smaller than taitensis. Maybe when trees mature will have a better idea but regardless there's barely any size difference. The leaves are quite different though with taitensis being huge round and dark green and Aimee being much smaller somewhat pointed and lighter green.

Plumerias for me are like an addiction gone bad. Here's my Penang Peach. One picture shows a "splash" which is actually due to a virus but in plumerias might actually be a good thing since some amazing colors come out. Plumerias for me have become a life long commitment for me like roses, hibiscus, daylilies, fragrant shrubs and bulbs.

Buddleia davidii were very exciting plants for me when I first purchased them but I have found them lacking on many fronts. Fragrance average, beauty average, foliage average.... What can I say it is also difficult to manage in the heat at least some cultivars are. If you cut it in the heat it can die and so far I have not been able to take cuttings during all phases of the summer. I think winter cuttings will be successful. It does attract butterflies though. All in all a good plant but not exceptional for me.

A reliable bloomer every season is Malpighia glabra or Barbados Cherry. The flowers later become fruit which is edible and high in Vitamin C. I think I'll dare to try it this time.
Sterlitzia reginae or Bird Of Paradise does bloom once a year for me if I leave the plant alone and well watered.

I just love the double Rangoon Creeper. Easy to care for, loaded with blooms, exceptionally fragrant....what else can one ask for in a plant?!
The bulb Eucomis comosa was a disappointment. Not a very pretty flower but something different atleast.
