In Karachi another plant also known as Bleeding Heart Vine is not Dicentra at all but a completely different genus, Clerodendron thomsoniae.

In my opinion, Dicentra spectabilis will not grow in lahore and karachi. Check the comment of a gardener from greece on this page. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/52/

Clerodendrum will grow happily though. There are many species of clerodendrum which are fragrant and showy as well. Would like to buy some clerodendrum seeds if riz lets us know the species available.

Dicentra will not tolerate the summer heat of Lahore or Karachi. It is not happy when temps are over 35C.

Clerodendrum thomsonaie will grow well in your area but is likely to die in winter if not provided protection.
