Hello everyone. In the last few months I had been noticing that my malaysia palm had started drooping. It was getting worse all the time. I tried straightening it by tying a rope to a pillar behind it, but the whole thing broke off very cleanly. now there are no leaves only a stump. Also I had noticed that the seeds from the seed pods were not growing in size as they used to. they are small and tend to fall off. Please help

if you don't mind me asking Izhar Sb. what would have caused the rot and could I have prevented it?

water logging and fungus attack in roots caused the rot... you could have prevented it by careful watering and drench of fungicide...

is this something I should be doing on a regular basis? how frequently should i use fungicide? is it something that i should do with the palms even if they are in large pots?

When you plant big palms, the leaves are kept tied together for two months....water must be given lavishly but only after completely drying of soil...
