For rose seeds, they need to be chilled in moist conditions for 2 months at least...

Rose seeds, wrapped in moist (not wet) tissue paper should be kept in fridge for 2 months... if your seeds are "pre-chilled" then you dont need this procedure.. ask your vendor of seeds if they are pre-chilled...

do lavender seeds also need the same chill period?.. what could be the chilling and sowing season?.. i tried 3 packets last summer but failed miserably though i never stratified those.

Lavender doesn't need chilling... our weather is not conducive for its growth...
