Salaam.
Although I understand your situation (I've had my share of troubles with cats/crows/chickens), I would not suggest poisoning or killing the cat. You could try the following:
1. Cover your seedlings with a net, or some sort of protection.
2. Spray garlic water (supposed to repel cats) though I have not tried this myself.
More importantly, you need to figure out why it is coming to your plants. Highly likely, it's food. Is anybody feeding it? Leftovers? Garbage?
Now, in my experience cats hate water. Get a sprayer (istri wala sprayer is fine) and set the nozzle so it shoots out a sharp stream. Keep it handy. Whenever you see it, just spray it multiple times. Eventually it'll know it's not welcome and it'll run off before you even pick the sprayer. Soon enough it'll move on. In the meantime, protect your seedlings. Sadly, killing it is neither humane nor practical. All the best!

1 day has 24hrs and in 24hrs has thousands of movements in which cat can come n do its dirty n cruel work. Its impossible to anyone to hold spray bottle n wait. In all civilized nation they have shooters to get rid off these stray dogs n cats.
Unfortunately v r living in such environment in which people don't have concept of these. Usually people think that it would be a sin to kill these stray animals.
Plz anyone who knows where i can get copper sulfate in karachi.
I found an animal repellent by pride seeds lahore but don't know about its result.

Buy a small paint brush, buy mosquito killing liquid, coat outside of your pots with this liquid every second day...
OR
You can follow this inhumane, cruel but simple method... buy chicken kaleji 250gm (Rs.40), boil it a bit so it gets hard...make a hole in it and put mouse killing powder... offer this lethal dish to your enemy...

I use a herbal spray called "panther " to repel all kinds if animal. One needs to spray around plants and not on plants.

Keep a dog, he will keep the cats away and do a better job of trampling the plants

For deadly ones like Porcupines which caused major damage to my plants, rather trees, I used the Zinc Phosphide tablets easily available and generally used for putting in rice and wheat storages. However such usage would require only if you know the hideouts in ground, placing the tabs on a cardboard and placing inside hideouts, and few thrown inside, sealing the inlet, and then one can see few dead porcupines after few days.
In case of no hideouts, I have used 'Timic', few grains on potatoes, meat, onions or sweet beats and putting them where your damaging animal strolls around. However, this would kill the animal, so if you do not like killing, then these methods are not recommended. Then only way is to use repellent like above called "Panther" or one I have seen in HyperStar Lahore made in UK specially made for cats and dogs etc.
