Is it causing any harm? Let it stay and if you are tilling regularly, its ok.

Thank you all. Dear KBW, it is causing the leaves to turn yellowish / rusty but not dry. However, the tilling continues.

Fungus by definition cannot have chlorophyll, which is the green coloring matter in plants. The green layer consists of very small plants (mosses, algae etc.). As others have suggested there is no need to use any chemicals. Mosses usually form on surfaces which remain moist all the time. You can also change the top soil and replace it with fresh soil and top layer of khaad. It is little bit of work but if the green layer is annoying, then new top soil mixed with khaad is the best way to get rid of it.

Thanks all. I have replaced the top soil over the weekend. Mixed with a small proportion khaad. Hope it works.
Also can someone advise on the use of water soluble fertiliser applied through spray pump. The supplier suggested it will make the plants green, healthy and improve growth.
