Sharifa Tree - Problems

I have a Sharifa tree in my garden, which was flourishing and gave excellent fruit last year. Now it has lost all its leaves, a few that are left are withering and turning brown at the edges before falling off. The fruit too just shriveled and fell off. Some of it never got beyond the tiny stage and did not mature but stayed on the branches and rotted off.

Unfortunately I was not around and did not see the tree as it must have started to get sick. I dont see any pests or fungus on it and am wondering if it is lack of fertilization.

Right now its only naked branches and a few dying leaves.

Please help, I am very worried about it

Since you don't a visible pest, bacterial wilt could be a cause:

"The most likely cause of tree death in custard apples is bacterial wilt. Unfortunately, there is no treatment for affected trees. Other soil fungi may kill small numbers of trees over time, and these deaths are often incorrectly attributed to bacterial wilt. To prevent the problem, avoid planting in sites that are poorly drained or have previously grown"

Secondly, are all the trees plants normal nearby? Is there any water-logging in that area?

i dont know about sharifa trees.but i think it may be as Farooq sb said is water logging problem.it can also be hunger stress.spray it with foliar NPK plus micro nutients.if fresh leaves appeared its hunger.also add some old manure around its trunk.it can also be fungus.note for the burnt tips & branches.there a no causes which can kill a tree.i m telling u all this because i have many fruit trees which i have to care.please also post some pics of ur custard apple

Thank you both for your replies. The trees and plants next to it are healthy, (my curry pata tree is fine at about 5 feet distance) and apparently there is no waterlogging problem.I have also been informed that the fruit of the tree had turned bitter, as it started to get sick!!!

I was growing mint under and near it but that has been removed. The tree has no leaves right now but I have noticed that new growth is coming on the branches, so I am relived that its not dead.

I'm hoping foliar NPK and old manure will do the trick. Will try to get pictures Umar but its a totally bare tree right now since all the dead and dying leaves have fallen off due to the rain but I'm monitoring it closely and hoping for the best.

Thanks God ur tree is alive.even if some plants are healthier it can be a fungus attack!so spray with anti fungus.after a week spray with foliar NPK for fast recovery.feed with granular NPK & old manure.
