I planted around 10 new Raat ki rani(Cestrum nocturnum) and 10 chambaili(jasmine) plants. Raat ki rani bloomed for first time during last week. On day one it had strong fragrance which could be easily smelled from 30-40 feets but now although its still blooming but it seems to have lost its fragrance.

Is there non fragrant type Raat ki rani as well and these maybe non fragrant type? or would its fragrance restore in coming days?

Maybe because of Winters its fragrance had been decreased but with time and its although the start of spring so, its fragrance will be increased.

Raat ki raani would not lose fragrance, but certain members have also noticed the same problem that their plants were not fragrant from the beginning. It has been correctly mentioned above that the fragrance cycle is disturbed at low temperatures. Wait for the better warm humid days to come. An interesting fact with raat ki raani is that it does not know whether it is day or night...it just happens that the plant makes fragrance in a cycle which matches with our day or night.
