i sowed portulaca..sunflower..zinnia.. today... i still have seeds of phlox, gaillardia ..and also i have extracted seeds from petunnias n mirabilis.. can i plant these too in this season.. specially petunnias n phlox? if i plant them will they continue till october ie fall season

No Petunia & Phlox are fall season annuals.Zinnia F-1 Magellan,F-1 Dream land,Potulaca F-1 Sundial,Coleus Super fine rainbow(filtered sun),Caladium are best for summer.yes you can also sow Sun flower seeds.Cocks comb is best to plant after August for autumn display.

i for gottten Canna is also a good choice.F-1 Tropical or Tropicana are best series available on the market.

u mean i shouldnt plant phlox or petunnia now? and i have a canna plant.. it's growing but it is yet to flower

I sowed cocks comb seeds yesterday. Salesman told me that u can sow it now.Was he telling a lie.

Yes Mahira its not time for Phlox & Petunia.Farrah he was not lieing, as many people think Cocks comb is a summer crop.but actually its an autumn flowering annual.so the right time is last week of August when the moon soon ends up.Now its the right time for Zinnia & Portulaca.if you have some shade you can also plant Coleus.Coleus F-1 Super rainbow,Wizard & fair way are good varieties.you can also plant the perrinial coleus which comes from Karachi & the leaves are large in size.You can also go for Canna F-1 Tropical.its available from Unique nursery Pwr mod in 6 different colors.plant it in filtered sun.

i collected petunnia seeds from seed pods..i read it somewhere that we should collect them n dry them.. and then save.. but mine are already brownish n i think dry because they roll here n there freely.. so can i just directed save them in an airtight container?

As my friend Umar Khan says right. It's time to grow Portulaca, Zinnia F1, Coleus Rainbow Series, Galliardia, Sunflower, Morning Glory, Balsam, Celosia, Vinca and various othersummer flowering plants. If your are interested in vegetables grow Bittergourd, Okara, Kali Tori, Egg Plant too. If your are not satisfied this flowering and vegetables seeds cannot germinate or have other problems, you can read my subject " Step by Step 2013 Seed Germination Process".. I am not to be promoting my subject just for guide line of new comers.

thankyou asim.. i will take a look at it ..and i have sown sunflower portulaca vinca and zinnia already..and will take some time out and sow giallardia *whatever the spelling*..i have it seeds already
