Importing seed from abroad

Post by bigbaddoc »

Hello everyone.
I recently got interested in gardening, container gardening more precisely. I'm short on ground space and would really like to have a go at some of the exotic fruits. The problem is getting the seeds. Can any one please explain how to get seeds from overseas websites or is a relative can post them through the post? Thinking of growing ever-bearing alpine strawberries, blueberries etc

I do grow alpine strawberries and I have bought the seeds from the UK and from Letvia, but I live in Italy. I guess it would be the same for you!

Its easy if you have a credit card that is accepted internationally.Just make your purchase and pay with your credit card.Don't buy in bulk or your item will be confiscated.Bulk means 250 grm or over.

Thanks for replying. That was really quick! Credit card got that. Do tell me is it cheaper to have it delivered to someone say in LA and have them post it or or have it shipped directly. Also would i have do go to some agency, airport, etc to collect or would it be to my front door. Appreciate the reply.

I'm interested in ever-bearing alpine strawberries, ground berries or any fruit that will be suitable for container culture.

Thanks. Its great news. Would you recommend single packets or more. I mean do the seed survive shipping?
