Clerodenrdum Problem

As seen in the images, old leaves are falling after yellowing and growing tips are burning out. Is it due to nutrient deficiency?

Usama, my opinion is that your underground water level has been raised or contaminated.. I am mentioning this because of the problems you shared earlier were also about big established plants loosing leaves.. have you given any chemical fertilizer in past 3-4 moths?

Yes I have previously shared a problem regarding an established hibiscus plant loosing its leaves after yellowing. But, i would like to mention here that this clerodendrum is no way near that hibiscus. They are a good 60 feet apart.

And no I haven't used any chemical fertilizer on this particular plant although I might have used a few things for some neighboring plants. But very mild.

I have no clue about the underground water level, or any problems that it being raised may cause. Can you please elaborate on this part.

Due to continuous rains or canals the ground water level becomes high, it doesnt pose a threat unless it becomes infected with fungal diseases or contains high salt levels... this problem has made many fertile areas barren..

On the other it might be possible that during construction of your house, some building waste was used to fill the areas near pillars/base of house when the roots entered that area they got damaged resulting in quick yellowing of leaves..

That is an interesting insight. Four years ago when I was initializing my Garden I had to remove a lot of debris and construction waste from the area. It was mixed with the soil. I am not sure whether or not there is debris deep down. But I would not be surprised if there is.

I regret now that when I was planting this clerodendrum I did not dig a hole large enough.

What do you suggest then? Should I get rid of the plant?

Not a problem sir. Golden shower is sending out new shoots. It looks happy.

The plant is indeed reviving. New shoots are emerging. I wonder what is going on. I did apply some Iron Sulfate few weeks back.

How is your plant doing Arif sahab?
