Salam,
i have 3 mango trees in my place, since couple of years i have noticed bunches of growths in each of them, the biggest tree has the most. i searched it in the internet and someplaces it said that these are unpollinated hypertrophied flowers, in others it said its some kind of disease. there were also a lot of flies, scattered all over the tree. we sprayed the trees with insecticide (i think) and then the flies have disappeared almost, and also the bunches have become smaller.
i want to ask what are these bunches or growths, and if this is some sort of disease then how to get rid of it.
P.S. please bear my lack of gardening vocabulary
Thank you
