Re: Flowers but no fruit....
Ha Ha very funny incident,
the fruit u are holding in your hand is known as CHIBBAR in Punjab they are sweet in taste and will change color to yellow after ripening and will be double or triple in final size.
Their seeds are often mixed with cucumber seed by accident and also present in Bhal or Gobar khad u purchased. I also have three of these along with Five cucumber plants and Five Armenia Cucumber Plants (KAKRI) and they are yielding fruit already, will update in my post soon.

Re: Flowers but no fruit....
Hey ! - Greetings from India.
I have faced the same problem - almost 2 months now after sowing 3 seeds about 6 inches apart. In 1 month the first 2 seeds germinated and grew into luscious and lovely plants shooting out tendrils in all directions. I fell in love with them and now after producing lovely flowers (about 50 in number) they are all wilting away. Even the plants now look sick. I have realized without any guidance from anyone - that they are extremely thirsty plants - should be : since cucumbers are full of water.
Yellow dusty powdery stuff have appeared from nowhere. A few of them even crawl on my hand - I love even them.
I went back to the street side vendor - who speaks in colloquial dialect - I can make no sense - he offered me a bottle of "poison" in his language (vish - in Bengali) - I checked the label - looks like some kind of nutrient - wonder why he calls it vish.
I don't know what to do with the 2 plants now (the third looks almost dead). I am not giving up hope - I love them like my children - Any Idea brothers from Pakistan ?

Hi subha. Just stumbled upon your post. How are your plants now after using that street-side vendor's remedy spray? Can you share pictures so we can better understand? I love plants like my children too so I totally understand your sentiments
